Basecamp Facilities

Reception- Check in 4-8pm

  • We have  self check in available in case there is no one at reception when you arrive but there is always a friendly willing member of our team on duty so just if you need assistance just ring the bell or dial the number at reception and be right along.
  • All of our team have great local knowledge- so… route info, tourist info or anything else you may need- please just ask

Communal spaces- available to all 

  • Large lounge with comfy couches and uninterrupted views across the bay
  • Pub style pool table in  conservatory next to the lounge- till 11pm when it disturbs others trying to sleep
  • Large well equipped kitchen with spacious adjoining dining area, sociable but spacious- Closes at 10pm
  • Free tea & coffee available in the kitchen but bring your own milk
  • BBQ area, seating, grassy banks & of course -the stunning views across Broadford Bay
  • Free Wi-fi throughout the building

Drying out & washing facilities- we’ve got it covered!

  • Dry out your soggy gear in our fab wee drying room-ask at reception for how it works
  • Laundry facilities are available after 4pm  for an additional fee, £2 for a wash, £3 for a dry- please ask at reception
  • Tents can be hung out on our washing green or in the back shed, 
  • Bikes & kayaks can find a safe spot round here too

Broadford village & the local area

  • Broadford  the south Skye capital is a chilled affordable base for accessing of Skye’s cliffs, lochs & mountains
  • The town sits at the foot of one of the impressive Red Cuillin, Beinn na Caillich with views & sunsets across Broadford Bay to the mainland mountains & beyond
  • Cafes, restaurants, bars etc all within 10 mins walking distance, all  serve up till 8 or 9pm – noticeboard by reception has menus available
  • 24 hour garage and the best supermarket on Skye 2 mins away
  • Isle of Skye’s main hospital with A&E
  • Great central location & far from the tour bus mayhem of Portree
  • Tyre repair and garage services
  • Boutique shops for gifts, treats, Skye specialities, local arts & crafts
